How we get bill data

Bills

Bill Ghar does not fetch bills at this stage. When you check a bill, your own browser opens the company’s official duplicate-bill page and your number is copied for you to paste. When you save a meter, you type the amount and due date from your bill; that is what reminders use.

Later, only on request

If we add reading bill facts from official pages, it will be only when you ask, for a number you entered, at most once per meter every six hours, with the official link always shown, and never by solving a captcha or getting around a limit. Companies that object are switched to link-only.

Tariffs

Slab rates, taxes and duties are entered by hand from NEPRA determinations and Power Division notifications, with the effective date and a source link, and kept as versions. A version marked “awaiting review” has not yet been checked against the notification and real bills.

Load-shedding

Only official notices from each company’s own website or verified pages, entered with the source link. If nothing is published, we say so; we never invent a schedule.

Solar

City sun data comes from public long-term datasets (PVGIS, NASA POWER), baked in once a year. Export rates are the reported figures for each rule and can be changed in the estimator.
